Cheryl has qualified as a personal trainer, jazz dance teacher, traditional yoga teacher, yoga therapist, massage therapist, Pranic healer , Reiki practitioner and more recently a sound therapist working with Tibetan and Himalayan bowls and Tingshas. More often than not her treatments are an eclectic blend of the best of all these different modalities.

Cheryl visits India regularly, and has completed her teachers and advanced training in Nasik, with the Yoga Vidya Gurukul.

About Southern Africa Yoga Safaris, Yoga Retreats and Yoga Holidays

Our aim on the Yoga Safaris and Holidays is to provide you with a unique experience, combining Yoga practice with night game drives, early morning meditations, indulgent massage or hot oil therapies, delicious vegetarian meals and lots of peace, quiet and tranquility in a healthy environment.

On our RETREATS we aim to take your inner Yogic journey even deeper. To assist us with this we use sound therapy, Yoga massage, hot oils, asanas, meditation and pranayama to encourage you into a deeper more relaxed state of being.

Your host is a fully qualified Yoga teacher (trained in Nasik, India), a personal trainer and a physical therapist. You will be personally evaluated, ensuring you receive the best Yoga exercise for your ability.

  • All aspects of Yoga i.e. Yoga Philosophy and Psychology
  • We only have small groups of 10 or less
  • All ages over 12 are welcome
  • No previous experience necessary
  • Enjoy unique accommodation with all amenities
  • Only vegetarian meals will be served

Our Approach and Philosophy

These Yoga Safaris and Retreats are not merely getaways, but the information shared with you provides principles which can be used in everyday life, enhancing your health, balance and stress management..

We offer life skills courses for shool children, stress release courses for executives, and rejuvenation courses for pensioners.

The groups are small which allows for personalized training.

The courses are held outdoors in fresh air as much as possible and you can enjoy the panoramic views of our beautiful venues whilst being trained, exercising and relaxing.

Our philosophy and approach on all of our trips, is based on the Yama of Ahimsa, meaning non-violence. We apply this to our practice, to our meals and to our way of thinking as much as possible.
