The title to this article might sound a little pretentious, but think about it, its true ! Take the true meaning of the word YOGA, "to yoke, to join" . This is the intention of Yoga practice, to centre, to ground, to gather, to join in perfect harmony, our mind, body and soul. The approach to our "on the mat " practice, needs to be holistic and authentic. Once we've made a conscious decision, to practice Yoga,  we are on this Yogic path. There is no "arriving" at a destination. It is something we will "do" for the rest of our lives. In walking gently, with discipline and focus, we automatically lead by example. The most important decision you will ever make, is to take the first step, step onto your mat, stand, breathe and experience ! As you step off your mat, make a promise to return as soon as possible, KNOW  that your journey has begun. KNOW that each visit to your mat is only going to re-enforce your discipline, strength and flexibility. All of this, as well as a new found sense of self control and peace ? Why is the whole world not doing this, you may well ask ?! If this site manages to get just one person a day, tantalised and interested in starting this yogic safari (Swahili for journey), I will have achieved my goals. If everybody was practicing Meditation by the age of 8, it would automatically lead to world peace. Yoga practice and meditation WILL keep your physical body, your mind and your soul in perfect balance, leading to a healthier, happier, less emotionally turbulent life.

Our Yoga Safaris in South Africa and surrounds are designed to offer the perfect blend of "holiday" versus "soul journey". Joining like minded people together, gently enjoying the very Spirit of Africa. Taking Yoga to the bush and the beach, an adventure of the Spirit. Contact us for our next available Yoga Safari, from "Bush to Beach" March 2013.

Start your walk in the right direction today. One step at a time, towards health, happiness and harmony. It is in your power.

Ahimsa be upon you

Cheryl, this really spoke to me on a day that I really needed to be spoken to! Thank you. Hope to see you soon - hard to believe it's almost a year ago that myself, Nicole and Leli joined you on the retreat at Blue Butterfly in Tulbagh. Very fond memories! Namaste xx
